Scar Therapy Network

Evidence-based scar care for the public.

Community, standards, and support for professionals.

The Scar Therapy Network is a new platform dedicated to improving the understanding, treatment, and recovery of scars. It will bring together trusted information for people with scars and a connected community of professionals committed to raising the standard of scar care.

Here’s what you can expect as the Scar Therapy Network begins to take shape:

Support and Guidance for People with Scars

The Scar Therapy Network is being developed as a trusted, evidence-based resource for anyone recovering from surgery or living with scars.

Our aim is to make reliable information easy to find and simple to understand - from how to prepare for surgery and care for your scar in the early weeks, to spotting signs of infection and knowing when to seek help.

Over time, the site will grow into a central hub of guidance, downloadable leaflets, and product links approved by healthcare professionals.

Because everyone deserves clear, accessible advice to support healing, confidence, and long-term recovery.

To get started, find out what type of scar you have.

Advancing the Practice of Scar Therapy

The Scar Therapy Network unites practitioners involved in scar care - from physiotherapists to surgeons and massage therapists - under one evidence based vision. Creating individual frameworks for individual disciplines to effectively treat scarring.

It offers a trusted space to share research, refine clinical practice, and raise professional standards across the industry.

By connecting experts, encouraging collaboration over competition, and supporting ongoing education and research, the Network aims to strengthen the credibility and visibility of scar therapy as a whole.

Ultimately, it’s about giving professionals the support, recognition, resources and framework they need to deliver better outcomes for their patients.
